5 minute makeup routine!

Hi girls!  I have to admit that there are times I’m guilty of rolling out of bed, throwing on the quickest thing….a hat, unbrushed hair, no makeup and then I’m off to school carpool.  I’m also guilty of wearing my house slippers out the door (by mistake…oooops).  I have my friend Carrie and other school mom friends as witnesses to my very un-Stylin attire some mornings…lol.  So with rushed, hustle and bustle mornings quickly approaching I wanted to share my quick and easy 5 minute make up routine!  Well… it was actually 5 minutes and 14 seconds to be exact.  But even when super rushed just taking that extra 5 minutes will make a huge difference about your day.

You’ll feel more confident and motivated (from my personal experience).

Please see below for my 5 minute make up routine!

SKIN

.

Step 1: After washing my face I mix a quick cocktail of my SPF 15 face moisturizer, foundation and a drop of MAC’s Strobe cream.  This cream mixed with these 2 products will give you a DEWY, fresh skin look!

Step 2:  Under eye concealer and all over highlighter.  GIRLS!  If you have not tried this product…you must and will love!  It’s on the pricier side but I can’t even tell you how great this product works.  And it does last a long time.  (I always like to justify the investment with my hubby…lol).   It’s like magic.  I like to dab some eye cream on first….then I apply this concealer.  I also frame around my lips (to give a fuller pout look) , the bridge of my nose, under my eyebrows and it also works good on smile lines.   NOTE:  I like to dab the product with my beautyblender.

EYES

Step 3:  This step really helps makes tired eyes look more awake!  A quick sweep across the top lash line of MAC Fluidline and it will last all day.   I have the color: BlackTrack and use this brush for application.  And sometimes I add a pencil eyeliner to my water line to help make my eyes even seem more awake.    Next is mascara.  I swear by this primer!  I’ve used it for over a decade and will use it for life.

CHEEKS

.

It’s amazing what a little color on your cheeks can do!  I’m a huge fan of mixing my blush and bronzer.  I love MAC’s blush and then top it off with my favorite bronzer.  I also sweep some across my forehead, nose, chin and on my decollete.  Then set it all with a spritz of MAC’s prep and prime fix.

LIPS

This last step is the icing on the cake.  And literally because the smell of my lip gloss reminds me of cupcake frosting.  YUM.  This shade is perfect for mornings because it doesn’t look like you’re trying to hard.  It’s moisturizing and very natural.  Color: BoyBait.  Sometimes I use MAC’s prep & prime underneath.  Note: It works best when you use a lipstick vs a lipgloss.

NEW GOALS

My goal for this next school year is to go to bed earlier, wake up earlier and enjoy at least a few minutes to myself before the kids wake up.  I’ve really been into journaling daily and this would be the perfect time to do that.  And coffee too…of course!

Keep’n it real

I don’t make the time to curl my hair in the mornings. (exception would be a campaign to shoot).   So I make do with some dry shampoo (this one is amazing!).  But homegirl needs a good deep conditioner…if you have any you love please do share!! Email me at aylin@stylinbyaylin.com.  This pullover is my new favorite and I love how it has a unique shape and style to it.  Wear it off one shoulder, both or cowl neck!  And joggers are my obessesion.  I’m not a fan of putting on tight pants first thing in the morning.   These joggers are also perfect for chilly mornings.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I hope this post helps inspire you or someone you know.  Even if it’s just a few extra minutes out of your day…it’s so important to take care of yourself.   xx
