FAMILY TRADITIONS WITH DAVID YURMAN

A childhood memory that always sticks out to me is looking through my moms jewelry box. I remember being so excited, like I had just found a treasure chest. My mom would tell me (and still does) that one day she will hand me down some of her most special pieces. These memories warm my heart because I am now catching myself telling my daughter the exact same thing. Jewelry is so much more than just accessorizing your outfit. Do you ever find jewelry that you hadn’t seen in years? It brings back memories, can create new memories and can be handed down generation to generation. Today I am so honored to be teaming up with David Yurman to share my favorite new pieces, how I love layering, styling 2 different looks, and sharing some of our family traditions.

My mom and I always have so much fun getting ready together. It’s always nice to have that extra hand with hair, makeup, a hard to reach button…and an excuse to sip a little champagne! We are just about to head out to celebrate her birthday. Another one of our traditions is to trade jewelry with each other. I’ll be honest…there are some pieces she lets me borrow that are really hard to give back…lol. And I have to say that she has the most amazing David Yurman collection! We love the idea of enjoying things that bring us joy now. The same goes for a special pair of shoes, dress or even a nice handbag. Don’t save things for only special occasions. Make as many special occasions as you can! Even if it’s a quick trip to the grocery store.

I always stay true to my style by incorporating comfort without compromising style. One of my favorite things about wearing David Yurman pieces is the comfort. Once you put on your jewelry is should be effortless…almost like you forget you even have anything on. This look I styled below is my go-to lounge around the house style.
