Happy Friday!  FYI:  today’s the last day to get my cami and shoes for up to 25% off!  Just enter code:EOTS17 when checking out at shopbop.com.  The cami runs true to size.  (wearing the xs here).   I’m trying to incorporate more color into my wardrobe…and loved mixing these Fall-like tones.  These colors would look so pretty paired with blue jeans, black, greys or whites.  So in a way it works like a neutral…which is probably why I was drawn to this color combo.  You can shop my cami, jacket and shoes Here, here and here.

It’s funny how many black pieces I have hanging in my closet…but I rarely share black pieces on my blog.  Well I’ve been recently re-inspired to style more black pieces after our recent trip to NYC.  It’s such a classic, timeless way of dressing if done right.  (or it could go towards more gothic).   One thing I love about dressing in black….it’s really hard to ever go wrong.  Unless it’s toooo short, super low cut and too tight ALL in one piece, lol.   I styled this ribbed long cardigan with this gorgeous polka dot cami!  It’s currently up to 25% off…and my shoes too!  (cami// shoes sold out but linked same brand and similar) .  I’m wearing an xs in the cami.  I love how luxurious it feels on…and I especially love that the back is a racer back style.  It’s also a nice feminine touch (with the playful polka dots)…to counter balance all the black going on.   The cardigan runs a little small.  I sized up from an xs to a S.  Just note that it is on the longer side.  And bonus…it has pockets!

Today I’m mixing whites with taupe accents.   Even though the colors are not exact…I love the tone on tone mixing.  And so excited to share that this top is currently on sale!  It runs big so I would not size up on this top. (I’m wearing the xs here).

Fall is finally here!  And even though it may or may not feel like it yet…it’s time to start thinking about which pieces you want to incorporate into your wardrobe.  Today I’m teaming up with Nordstrom and sharing my favorite New Arrivals that are perfect for layering!  I’ll be showing you my recommendations for what to layer underneath, down to the accessories and jewelry too.  Keep scrolling to see more of this look and all my styling picks below! …

Below you can find my look, other layering favorites, accessories and jewelry and what to wear underneath!

I started with a basic white TEE and denim canvas.  But instead of grabbing my everyday Blue Jeans…I switched it up with a super versatile dark grey denim.   The Tee has a higher neckline which was fun to layer necklaces over.  This cardigan is naturally oversized but I sized up to a Small to get an even slouchier-oversized look.

These are some other favorites that would be perfect for layering.  I have to admit that I already have some of these in my closet and will be sharing them in upcoming posts.  If you have any questions about any of these listed please feel free to send me an email!  aylin@stylinbyaylin.com

Do you even feel naked when you leave the house and you forget to wear your jewelry?  That happens to me on occasion…and has even happened to me when we’re shooting pictures.  No bueno.  The shoot must go on…but I can definitely see a difference in adding that extra layer.  It’s one of my favorite parts about styling a look!   Here I kept the jewelry more dainty, but bulked up my arm candy with an oversized watch and a bracelet stack.

This all depends on the occasion and how cold it really is.  But for most mild temp days I would recommend a cami, tank or Tee underneath.  I also love pairing a dressy silk tank with a cozy causal oversized knit.  Add distressed jeans and some heels and you’re ready for a night out with the girls!

Hope you had a great weekend and thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Friday!  Fall is starting to show a little here in San Diego.  That means it’s time for layers, pants, sweaters and all things pumpkin.  Trader Joes has a pumpkin pancake mix that is soooo good!  I can’t wait to pick up a box and make it.

This look is perfect for those days that start off cool…and you end up getting hot around lunch time or the afternoon.  The blush piece I have on underneath is actually a tank top.  Makes it perfect for those cold to hot temps.  I sized up one size for a more flowy fit.

This cardigan is almost sold out…so I’m linking a similar one here and below.

NOTE:  Nordstrom is having their TRIPLE POINTS right now!  It’s from 9/20 – 9/24

Happy Thursday!  Today’s post is what I wore for one of my more casual days at Fashion week.  I have to admit that this top is a little out of my price range…but for special events (ie: Fashion Week) I make an exception for splurge pieces.  But let me say…I have already worn this top so many times since Fashion week.  It feels very luxurious, billowy, classy and boho all in one.  It can be dressed up with slacks or a leather skirt.  I kept it more casual with grey skinny jeans.  Keep scrolling below to see more looks…
