Hi girls!  Please excuse the mess. (actually that’s what it looks like when it’s pretty much clean…sorry hubby).  I’m pulling together some new transitional looks for you!  I would also love to hear any ideas or suggestions you might have for upcoming posts!! I’m here for you and love to help.  Please send an email to aylin@stylinbyaylin.com.

As for this look…the cardigan currently only has one size left.  But I’ve seen it get restocked…so I’ll be on the look out.  If you like this fabric I found an exact matching sweater and sweater tank.  (here and here).  Also found a similar cardigan here!  This Tee is also a new arrival and runs a little big.  Hope you had a great day…and I’m looking forward to hearing from you!  xx

Hi everyone!  I almost said happy Thursday…but it’s only Wednesday!  I’ve had total mom-nesia lately.  Anyone else??  I know this is super random to share but I had my first chiropractor appointment today. I was super nervous (sweaty palms for sure)…but It was so amazing.  I never knew how off balanced I’ve been all these years.  And I’m amazed to learn how it not only affects physical aliments but also emotional.  I do feel more relaxed, less stressed, happier and more comfortable.  Anyways, just thought I would share… and if you’d like to hear more I can write more about my experience in a future blog post.

Today I’m so excited to share my ALL time FAVORITE wardrobe staple item.  The Statement TEE”!   What is a statement TEE??  Well I would say it’s a Tee shirt that has a little something extra to it.  Whether it’s a billowy sleeve, pleating, ruffles or a unique neck line.   And this one in particular is my favorite.  Wear it with layers, over dressy pants, baggy boyfriend jeans, cut off shorts or even a maxi skirt.  I love that the material is super casual but the fit has some serious style going on.  I’m wearing the size XS here and would say it runs true to size.  I wore a strapless bra underneath to wear it off one shoulder.  But you can wear it on both shoulders too with a regular bra.  To add extra interest I layered a couple long dainty necklaces over the top of the TEE.  Added skinny jeans, slip on heels, one of my favorite handbags and oversized sunnies to achieve this low-key-styled look.

You can get this entire look from Nordstrom.com or Nordstrom stores.  I love how they are the true definition of a one-stop-shop!  (Where else can you buy the cutest clothes-shoes-bags, boob pad inserts, kids socks, jewelry, toss pillows, home decor and don’t forget the dry shampoo…lol)

    See below for more pics….

P.S. Here’s another view of these shoes!

I love the crisscross design and especially the slip on factor.

    A ladies best friend.

Hi girls!  Today was my kids first day of school…so it’s back to routines, early mornings and no excuse for me to skip the gym anymore…lol.   I recently got some new pieces that I’m very excited to share with you.   This pullover is one of them! (also available here and here)  The picture below is the real way to wear this top.  I played around in the image above and tried to make it work off one shoulder.   I’m wearing the size XS here but would be curious to see how one size up would look with the off one shoulder look.  NOTE:  This top is see through and I would recommend wearing it with a tank or cami underneath.  It’s super soft and light weight.  And I’m in love with the sleeve detailing!

You can shop this top here and the rest of my look below…

Hi girls!  I have to admit that there are times I’m guilty of rolling out of bed, throwing on the quickest thing….a hat, unbrushed hair, no makeup and then I’m off to school carpool.  I’m also guilty of wearing my house slippers out the door (by mistake…oooops).  I have my friend Carrie and other school mom friends as witnesses to my very un-Stylin attire some mornings…lol.  So with rushed, hustle and bustle mornings quickly approaching I wanted to share my quick and easy 5 minute make up routine!  Well… it was actually 5 minutes and 14 seconds to be exact.  But even when super rushed just taking that extra 5 minutes will make a huge difference about your day.

You’ll feel more confident and motivated (from my personal experience).

Please see below for my 5 minute make up routine!

    SKIN

    .

Step 1: After washing my face I mix a quick cocktail of my SPF 15 face moisturizer, foundation and a drop of MAC’s Strobe cream.  This cream mixed with these 2 products will give you a DEWY, fresh skin look!

Step 2:  Under eye concealer and all over highlighter.  GIRLS!  If you have not tried this product…you must and will love!  It’s on the pricier side but I can’t even tell you how great this product works.  And it does last a long time.  (I always like to justify the investment with my hubby…lol).   It’s like magic.  I like to dab some eye cream on first….then I apply this concealer.  I also frame around my lips (to give a fuller pout look) , the bridge of my nose, under my eyebrows and it also works good on smile lines.   NOTE:  I like to dab the product with my beautyblender.

    EYES

    .

Step 3:  This step really helps makes tired eyes look more awake!  A quick sweep across the top lash line of MAC Fluidline and it will last all day.   I have the color: BlackTrack and use this brush for application.  And sometimes I add a pencil eyeliner to my water line to help make my eyes even seem more awake.    Next is mascara.  I swear by this primer!  I’ve used it for over a decade and will use it for life.

    CHEEKS

    .

It’s amazing what a little color on your cheeks can do!  I’m a huge fan of mixing my blush and bronzer.  I love MAC’s blush and then top it off with my favorite bronzer.  I also sweep some across my forehead, nose, chin and on my decollete.  Then set it all with a spritz of MAC’s prep and prime fix.

    LIPS

    .

This last step is the icing on the cake.  And literally because the smell of my lip gloss reminds me of cupcake frosting.  YUM.  This shade is perfect for mornings because it doesn’t look like you’re trying to hard.  It’s moisturizing and very natural.  Color: BoyBait.  Sometimes I use MAC’s prep & prime underneath.  Note: It works best when you use a lipstick vs a lipgloss.

    NEW GOALS

My goal for this next school year is to go to bed earlier, wake up earlier and enjoy at least a few minutes to myself before the kids wake up.  I’ve really been into journaling daily and this would be the perfect time to do that.  And coffee too…of course!

    Keep’n it real

I don’t make the time to curl my hair in the mornings. (exception would be a campaign to shoot).   So I make do with some dry shampoo (this one is amazing!).  But homegirl needs a good deep conditioner…if you have any you love please do share!! Email me at aylin@stylinbyaylin.com.  This pullover is my new favorite and I love how it has a unique shape and style to it.  Wear it off one shoulder, both or cowl neck!  And joggers are my obessesion.  I’m not a fan of putting on tight pants first thing in the morning.   These joggers are also perfect for chilly mornings.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I hope this post helps inspire you or someone you know.  Even if it’s just a few extra minutes out of your day…it’s so important to take care of yourself.   xx

Happy Thursday girls!  I hope you’re having a great week.  I always get emotional this time of year…when it’s back to school time.  Don’t get me wrong…I’m looking forward to having some what of a routine back, any sort of me time (that’s all pretty much non-existent in the summer).  But it reminds me of how quick my kids are growing up and how fast the years do go by.   If anyone has any tricks on slowing down time…please email me!  I try to be present throughout the day and especially in special moments…but sometimes it makes me sad.  I think I think tooooo much sometimes…lol.

This top is perfect to wear over skinny jeans or leggings because of the length!  It is on the long side…just fyi.  I’m wearing the xs here.  It runs true to size.  It also comes in a bunch of other colors…see here!

Hope you have a beautiful day and thank you so much for visiting my blog.  I appreciate you very much!

Hi everyone!  I’m so excited to share today’s Nordstrom collaboration post with you!  With cooler weather just around the corner I’ve been researching the best transitional pieces for your Fall wardrobe…and off the shoulder is a sure favorite!  I love how this OTS sweater is super cozy but shows off just the right amount of skin to keep your look stylish and sophisticated.  Here I styled this very versatile sweater with distressed denim, a suede handbag, ankle booties, oversized sunnies and some fun jewelry pieces!   This top is super soft, comes in other color options, and can be worn a few different ways.  Off both shoulders, off one shoulder or cowl neck.  I would recommend styling this top with white or blue skinny jeans or cut off shorts.   Shoe options can be either flat sandals, ankle booties or I always wear these favorite shoes!  (mine are so worn out…I might need to get a back up pair.  That’s how much I love and wear them!)

Keep scrolling below to see more details on this look.

I’m also sharing other OTS sweater tops that I love…details at the end of this post!
