Happy Thursday! We’re so close to the weekend…yay!

I woke up at 3:30 am this morning. I had nightmares of forgetting appointments, graduation ceremonies, deadlines…pretty much anything you don’t want to forget. I think I always get really stressed and emotional this time of year when the kids are about to finish up the school year. To me it’s a reminder of how fast they are growing. I know these are all happy milestones but I can’t help but get sad sometimes when I think about it. Growing pains I guess. But even though the school year is ending I am so excited to have a fun Summer with my kids!

Last weekend my mom and I spent the day at the gorgeous Pelican Hill Resort and Spa in Newport Beach, CA. This place is amazing! If you’re ever in the area or want a place to stay in So Cal you must check it out! The pool is one of the prettiest pools I’ve ever been in. It’s only 3 1/2 feet deep from end to end. And It’s heated! BTW: I’ve been in some “heated” pools before…that are cold. I have to say I’m a wuss when it comes to cold water…and this one is so nice and warm!

We started our day with a delicious lunch in our Cabana from the Coliseum grill. We ordered the humus and veggie plate, chicken wings and an ahi poke salad with 2 glasses of procescco. Lunch was delicious and very fresh. And I must say…champagne and a little sun was oh so nice. (fyi… there is a pop up on their website for a complimentary appetizer on your next visit!) Afterwards we had a pedicure appointment at the SPA and enjoyed relaxing in their lounge next to this beautiful wall fountain (see pics below). After Pedi’s we headed back to our cabana….swapped swim cover ups and took a dip in the pool and hot tub. ♥
