Hi everyone!  I’m so excited to share today’s Nordstrom collaboration post with you!  With cooler weather just around the corner I’ve been researching the best transitional pieces for your Fall wardrobe…and off the shoulder is a sure favorite!  I love how this OTS sweater is super cozy but shows off just the right amount of skin to keep your look stylish and sophisticated.  Here I styled this very versatile sweater with distressed denim, a suede handbag, ankle booties, oversized sunnies and some fun jewelry pieces!   This top is super soft, comes in other color options, and can be worn a few different ways.  Off both shoulders, off one shoulder or cowl neck.  I would recommend styling this top with white or blue skinny jeans or cut off shorts.   Shoe options can be either flat sandals, ankle booties or I always wear these favorite shoes!  (mine are so worn out…I might need to get a back up pair.  That’s how much I love and wear them!)

I’m also sharing other OTS sweater tops that I love…details at the end of this post!

    Hi everyone!

Hope you’re having a great week.  I posted a sneak peek of my kitchen renovation last week (here)…there are still a few loose ends that need to be done and of course all the touch up work that comes with a remodel.  I’m also amazed at how long it takes for furniture to arrive.  Some of my pieces have been backordered until November…Nooooooo!  But at least they are more accent pieces and not a dining table or sofa.  Speaking of sofa’s ours finally came in!  They are slip covered and we are loving them.  The sofa we had before was sooooo deep. We had it custom made for our loft when we lived in downtown San Diego.  With 20 foot ceilings it worked out great for that space. But now that we have a slightly smaller space and lower ceilings…so it looked a little overwhelming.   I’m just waiting on some accent pillows to arrive and will be posting photos of it soon!

Now on to this post…I absolutely love this dress!  The sleeves are actually embroidered and the detailing is so pretty.  I love the puffy arm because the dress is on the short side so it feels like it balances it out nicely.  I wore this out to Hotel Del last weekend for the Love Tatum event.  It was the perfect day dress.  It runs true to size…I’m wearing an XS here.   I also love this dress here.

P.S.  It has pockets and is machine washable.  Yay!

Happy Sunday everyone!  I’ve missed writing you this past week.  How have you been?  It’s crazy how busy our summers can get with our schedules off, family in town.  Throw in a remodel and a huge swarm of bee’s that decided to move into the exterior wall of our home (no joke)…and it really throws you off.  LOL.  Anyways I’ll be back to my normal posting schedule in no time.  And I just want to say how I’ve missed it!   Today I wanted to share how you can wear Taupe color/accessories with any kind of denim wash.  These booties would look beautiful with whites, black, dark or lighter denim.  Here I paired it with a lighter wash and added this super soft TEE (under $25!) and one of my favorite new bags. (here and here).

FYI:  I ordered one size up on this top.  I also ordered my true size on these boots.  They run a tiny bit big (at least on my foot).  I’m curious to see what 1/2 a size down will fit like so I’m going to order those as well.   If you end up trying them out please let me know what sizing works best for you??  Would love to know!  xx

Happy weekend friends!  And in honor of the weekend I’m sharing an amazing new find for me in Denim!!  Even though my dad just can’t get past the fact that I spend a penny on any jeans with holes in it (lol)…I personally love the look!  If it’s styled with the right top, shoes and accessories it can give your look a more laid back, effortless feel.  Today I’m teaming up with PacSun and styling 2 different Denim looks for you.  One is more of a casual relaxed fit…and the other is more of a fitted sleek style.

    LOOK #1

This has weekend casual all over it!  These jeans are comfy, soft and come exactly as you see them here.  I sized down 1 size…they run big.  These Tee is suuuuper soft too (wearing the size S).  I’m linking it here, the jeans here and keep scrolling down to see the other PacSun Denim look I styled.

    LOOK #2

This look is a great example of being able to take a look from Day to Night.  You can easily wear sneakers or flats and then dress it up with heels and a dressier handbag, jewelry, makeup, etc.   These jeans have a very unique wash that I love!  The fit is very flattering.  Just a side note:  these do not have real pockets…but the sewn in look a like pockets.  That is why I’m putting my finger through the belt loop…didn’t know what else to do with my hand/lol.  FYI: I’m wearing my true size.

Happy Friday!  This week flew by and I’m so ready (yet again) for the weekend!  There’s still a couple more weeks left of our remodel…but I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.  Our sink faucet was installed yesterday and our plumber is making sure it’s all in and ready to use for the weekend.  Yay for running water in the kitchen!

Today I’m teaming up with Abercrombie to share my favorite New Arrival pieces and this neutral-layered look!  When investing into new pieces for your wardrobe I have a few rules I like to follow.  Solids are my go to.  Prints are fun, but realistically can only be worn so many times.  Feel the fabrics…I’m huge on comfort.  Even if it’s the prettiest top in the world, if it feels itchy or not comfortable on the skin…you will not wear it.  That’s why I’m such huge fan of Abercrombie.  There pieces are true to size, comfortable, affordable and now appeal to a much larger audience.   Plus I can always find great basic pieces (aka: solids) that I can wear and re-wear over and over.  Thank you Abercrombie!!  xx

This top was a sure winner the minute I tried it on.  I wear a regular nude bra underneath.  It has a beautiful lace-like detail.   I love the higher neckline too.  I styled it here with a gorgeous suede jacket and distressed girlfriend jeans.  You can shop this top, jacket and jeans (here, here and here)…and the rest of my look below!

Hi everyone!  I hope you’re having a great week.  Our home re-model is still underway!  It is taking way longer than I had expected…but funny enough that should always be expected with a remodel.  We are still living with no kitchen and I can official say I am sick of eating out…lol.  I’ve been daydreaming of making my kids the most delicious chocolate chip pancakes once we get our kitchen back!  Can’t wait to share all the details with you!  My other love is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale !  It is in full swing since last Friday when it opened to Public Access.  These sale prices will be going back up to full-price on August 7th.

(the last day of the sale is August 6th).

    .

Today I’m teaming up with Nordstrom to bring you Neutral Favorites of the Sale (that are currently IN STOCK!).  Neutrals are always my go to.  They are not only pieces you can wear over and over but they are easily interchangeable.  More bang for your buck.  This look I’m featuring is something I would wear during the day with sneakers and also meet my husband for happy hour and dinner by just swapping out the shoes and jewelry.   This jacket runs true to size.  Please keep scrolling below to see the full look and other neutral apparel favorites from the Anniversary Sale!  Bonus: I’m also including favorites from accessories, shoes and handbags to tie in your whole look!

You can shop this jacket (here) and the rest of this look below…

Another thing I love about having neutrals in my closet…is the flexibility of wearing it Now vs Later.  I’m including some other options below so check them out and let me know if you have any questions?  You can comment on my last instagram photo or send an email to aylin@stylinbyaylin.com.
