Hi everyone!  For those of you who haven’t met my hubby…this is Jeff!  He’s the creative eye behind the lens of Stylin by Aylin, loves golf, poker, geeks out big time on electronics, likes to surf, is the most amazing father to our 2 kids…and is the love of my life.  We just celebrated 14 years of marriage and wow time does fly.  I know this sounds so cliche…but our wedding day feels like it was just yesterday.   Well I’m beyond excited to have Jeff join me on the blog today!  We’re teaming up with Nordstrom to share some of our favorite Mens styles, new arrivals and sharing some things we’ve learned along the way to a long lasting relationship.

I styled his look more modern casual here.  Jeans, comfortable button up shirt, sneakers…but dressed it up with the watch and stylish shades.  Depending on your guys office dress code…this could also be a great work look!  Plus it’s transitional enough to hit up happy hour after a long day.   I’ve always loved squarish framed sunglasses on Jeff.   Here are 2 options I recommend: ted baker sunglasses and these Boss sunglasses.

    Cutie wearing Bonobos

This is a newer brand Jeff’s been rocking lately.  This exact shirt was actually his anniversary gift this year, along with me finding a sitter and surprising him with dinner reservations.  Thanks aunt Shelly for babysitting!   When I saw this shirt it was pretty much love at first sight.  As you might know I’m obsessed with the color grey and when I saw this 2 toned check top I knew it would make the perfect gift.  Ladies…it’s soft too and I love the quality!   Also see below for “other favorites” that I’m excited to share with you!  Jeff doesn’t know this yet…but some of these pieces are in my shopping cart for Christmas gifts.

Every relationship has their ups and down but here are a few tips we try to live by…

    .

    “Laugh and be silly”

Jeff probably thinks I’m crazy, but when I get in a silly mood I speak with the Borat accent.  Do I think I sound attractive?  No.  Do I do it anyway?  Yes.  I think it’s so important to laugh, be fun, silly and yourself.

    .

    “Date your spouse”

We try to go out on a date at least once a week.  Even if it’s just for an hour.  It doesn’t have to be a big expense either.  Although the most expensive date nights for us involve a late night run to Target before we head home…eeeek.

    .

    “Feelings”

This one’s good.  When I need to confront Jeff about something that is bothering me I always need to step back and make sure I’m not going to accuse or go in attack mode.  That only makes the other person get defensive and that is such a hard place to get out of.  I approach the uncomfortable situation by telling him “how that made me feel” instead of telling him what he did wrong.

This double ruffle white top is perfect for a night out.  The sleeve detail is my favorite but I also love that it is currently 40% off!  It also comes in black and it runs true to size.  However I sized up one to get a little bit extra in the length.  Here I styled it with distressed jeans, heels, clutch and layers of dainty gold jewelry.

p.s. The hoop earrings are on sale too …and are super light weight!

Hi everyone and thanks for visiting my blog today!  For those of you that are new to follow we started a home re-model back in May.   It was quite the experience and to be totally honest way more of a process than I expected.  And that applies to the Good and the Bad.   If you watch my insta-stories you’ve seen my backsplash dilemma!  After a 2 month lead time the wrong material comes in, reselect then more reselects, and then the one you pick happens to be “un-installable”.  Long story short we found someone skilled enough (doesn’t hurt he’s super meticulous and a perfectionist)…to install our tile!   He should be finishing it up in the next week. Yay!!  I’ll share the progress on insta so be sure to follow along.

In other good news this top is now available in a pretty ivory-white color.  I did size up one size.   Wearing the S here.  The material is soft and perfect for not too warm or not too cold weather.  My favorite detail is the hem line of where the bell sleeve starts (just above the elbow area…see 2nd to last pic below)

Happy Monday!  Hope you had a good weekend.  We’ve been busting out the Halloween decor around here and added a new blow up ghost to the collection.  This thing is so random and has been cracking us up (If you watch my insta-stories you might have seen my installation fail).  Well just in time for this post to go live…this top is now on Sale!  It is wearable all year long since it is breathable and light weight.  I plan to layer long sleeve thermals underneath this when it gets more chilly.

You can shop this top here and the rest of my look below…

When you find that perfect sweater…and you ponder how to style it??  I’m very used to wearing more oversized sweaters, so when I fell in love with this cozy-fitted number I had to think twice about styling it.  Because of it’s more fitted nature I immediately thought about wearing it with a looser pant.  I love the balance it creates.  And bonus…I found some great jeans for you that instantly elongate your legs!  Shoes are always a challenge with this type of pant leg.  Flats will not work…unless you are really tall or get the length hemmed.  So I’m linking some shoe options for you too!  Keep scrolling below to see more of this LOOK and to see how I styled this exact sweater with a completely different pant style….

And bonus this top is under $60 and has the best reviews!

    .

Style Tip:  I would recommend sizing up on this sweater.  Even though it’s supposed to be more fitted…I found it to run a little small.

This look is more fitted.  I also think this look is more appropriate for Night.  But can easily turn into Day with swapping out the heels for sneakers.  Again I dressed it up here with an arm stack of gold accents.  And added a playful detail with these animal print high heel pumps.  I love mixing casual and dressy pieces.  Even though these shoes are a bit loud I’ve been able to wear them with more than expected.   So in a way it’s been working like a neutral with my wardrobe.  The exact pair I’m wearing is from Sam Edelman but from 3 years ago.  I found some very similar pairs that I’m linking in this post.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.   On a side note I wanted to say that my heart goes out to anyone who is affected by all of these hard times we’ve been seeing lots of lately.  There has been so much loss and pain.  But there is also so much good in this world.  We can never give up hope.  I’m thinking positive for you, your loved ones and anyone affected by these hard times.  Sending prayers.

My mom and I met my brother for lunch last week and we stopped off at South Coast Plaza before heading back home.  He needed new “basics” for his wardrobe…so I said…” i’m your girl!”  That explains why I’m in the Mens dressing room.  No one else was in there so I just made myself welcome in the main part of the rooms.  We found some great basic Tee’s for him!   The joggers I’m wearing were perfect for a day out…but I loved them even more on the hour plus car commute.  And yay…so excited to share that they are restocked!!  They’ve been sold out since I bought them.   Also this sweater is one of my new favorites!  I’ve worn it at least 5 times in the last 10 days.
