Denim on Denim

Denim on Denim. It can look super chic or a total “what not to wear”. Kinda like when Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake went to the Rodeo…I mean the 2001 American Music Awards.

Here are my Denim on Denim DO’s and DONT’S:
1) Do not pick denim that’s all the same wash. For example DO mix a lighter denim pant with a darker chambray shirt.
2) Do not mix denim with the same fabric weight. Example: DO pair your jeans with a light weight denim top.
3) Do not over accessorize! Keep it classy and simple ladies

Here I paired my slouchy boyfriend jeans with a more feminine lightweight chambray shirt. This instantly gives a street style vibe that looks effortlessly put together. Best part, it’s super comfortable. I can easily run errands, play on the floor with my kids, do 5 loads of laundry and feel as comfy as wearing my yoga pants. To take this look to night just switch out the sandals for some slinky high heels and trade the mom bag for a clutch. xoxo
