Glamping at El Capitan

One of the best weekends ever!

If you’re not much for camping but love nature I would definitely recommend “glamping” at Santa Barbara’s beautiful El Capitan Canyon. It’s about 15 minutes north of downtown SB and just a 10 min walk or 2 min car ride down to the beach. We stayed in one of their Queen cabins. It has a queen bed, night stands, kitchen area, bathroom (with warm water and shower!)…and a toilet. I mean how luxurious is that when camping?! There is also a loft area that has 2 twin mattresses. You need to climb a ladder to get up top…so I wouldn’t recommend that area for really young kids.

For meals you can either bbq at your campsite or walk down to their canyon market place. They have a great menu there for breakfast, lunch and dinner. One of my favorite meals there was the chicken Nachos paired with a cold bottle of Stella Beer. They also have a gift shop with all the essentials. From paper plates to havianna flip flops…they have you covered.

We enjoyed a hike one of the days…and it lead up to their lama farm. They had goats, sheep and other farm animals. I got to hold one of the baby goats. He was soooo cute!

We also enjoyed their concert/BBQ under the stars. They had a live band, great food and dancing on their lawn. That was one of my favorite memories there. It was so fun dancing with my kids, swing’n them around under the warm night sky.

They also have a beautiful, super clean pool. It’s heated too! That definitely plays into the glamping” experience.
