HOLIDAY ENTERTAINING & STYLE

One of my favorite things about styling is accessorizing.  And today I’m so excited to be sharing 3 ways you can transform simple pieces into a more dressed up version for the Holidays.   I’m even sharing how you can transform a basic drink into a huge holiday hit by just adding a few decorative garnishes!  See below for 2 different looks and don’t miss the holiday drink at the end…

HOW TO GLAM UP A BASIC DRESS

I found this super cute wrap midi dress in velvet from Walmart’s premium brand collection! It’s really good quality and fits true to size.  I added a chunky statement necklace to really dress it up as well as a pair of sparkly heels (similar ones here) to add a little extra sparkle for the holidays. I also finished off the look with my favorite Michele watch that is also from Walmart!

HOW TO GLAM UP BASIC JEANS

I wanted to dress up these basic grey jeans and came across this super cute short sleeve sequin top that I love!  It’s so lightweight and fits comfortably.  I really like the length of the sleeves and boat neck at the top making it very flattering on. I also paired it with a pair of heels that have some sparkle (similar ones here) to dress it up a little more.  I finished off the look with a pair of statement earrings and my favorite watch.

HOW TO GLAM UP A BASIC DRINK

This is such a classic drink that can me transformed into the perfect holiday party cocktail that you know everyone will LOVE!  All I did was take a basic champagne glass and add a sugar rim to the top using Pure Granulated Sugar Cane. Next, I poured my champagne into the glass.  Then, I took the Cranberries and pierced a hole in them with a toothpick so that the rosemary stem will go in easier.  Next, I took a plastic bag and filled it with sugar. I then chose one of the larger pieces of Rose Mary to run a little water over and then shook off any excess drops before sticking it in the bag of sugar and shaking.  Finally, I removed my sugar coated Rose Mary which now looked “snow covered” and stuck 3 cranberries onto the stem.  Then voila! It’s the perfect holiday garnish to add to your champagne.

INGREDIENTS

  1. CHAMPAGNE (I used Prosecco in the $10-$15 range)
  2. FRESH CRANBERRIES (I used Ocean Spray)
  3. ROSE MARY (fresh Rose Mary I found in produce section)
  4. SUGAR (I used Pure Granulated Sugar Cane)

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today!

xx,

P.s. A big thank you to Walmart for partnering on this post! Everything I share, as always, are my own thoughts and opinions.
