HOW TO STYLE YOUR THROW BLANKETS & PILLOWS

*Start with an oversized throw to use as your base.  This step is not required btw, but I love to create a cozy look with layers on layers.

*Make sure the base layer throw covers the sofa, however do NOT pull it tight.  We want to create a relaxed look.

*Once your base layer throw is on, start with the right side of your sofa and grab your throw so there is a point at the top.  You basically want it to look like a diamond.

*Throw your throw…(no pun lol) over the back side so it hangs over a few inches.

*Play around with the draping.  I like to make sure it’s not hanging straight down.  (think of trying to create shadows with your throw)

*Repeat on the other side if needed.

*Start with your 2 back pillows.  I like these to be slightly larger than the pillows in front.

*Make sure to Karate chop to give your pillows a plush-down look.

Don’t forget to have fun with this process and please know it will not look perfect.  And it shouldn’t look perfect!  Even with my interior design background this is something I still have to play around with for a while until I get it ready for photographs, instagram, etc.  Because let’s be honest…the carpet in my home has magnets in it.  These pillows will be on the floor in no time lol.  Hope you found these tips helpful!  See my instagram for a fun time-lapse video of me creating this cozy space!

I love a good throw blanket. Adding in layers of neutral textures and soft fabric makes a space so cozy and inviting. Plus an added bonus it also helps keep your couch clean! These barefoot blankets are one of my favorites! I have them in a few colors and every one is so pretty. They would make the perfect gift too! They are so thick and plush and are great quality. Even after several washes the look new.

I am obsessed with lounge sets and this one is so good. The color of this set is so pretty and I love the waffle knit texture. I think this set looks so nice with this black tee  to dress up the look but it actually has a matching v-neck top. The cardigan has pockets which is always a plus and the joggers do too. These joggers have a functional tie and an elastic waist band. I recommend this set as a gift. I think every girl will love it.  I would say it runs true to size. I am wearing an XS in the joggers and am just shy of 5 ft 7. In the cardigan I am wearing a size small. The sleeves are a tad long but I still recommend wearing your true size.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hope you have a great day!

xx,

P.s. A big thank you to Nordstrom for partnering on this post! Everything I share, as always, are my own thoughts and opinions.
