OUTFITS for the lake

With the 4th of July right around the corner I thought it would be nice to share some lake inspired outfits. I also included some of the pieces I took with me on our recent lake house vacation. We have family in Michigan & love our yearly tradition of driving up north to Traverse City & staying on the lake. It’s so beautiful & peaceful there. One of my highlights is paddle boarding with my cousin & our daughters on the glassy water. And of course our nightly happy hour boating on the lake. It takes me back to the simple life. I love unplugging, being around nature & taking it all in. xx

Keeping this travel look simple and comfortable with wide leg pants and a tank top. I added in a denim jacket for that layer on the plane in case you get cold and sneakers so that your feet won’t hurt. Once you get to your resort throw on some sandals and a wide brim hat and you’re ready to go.

These denim shorts are great over your swimsuit bottoms with a tank top or sports bra. I added in these comfy sandals and tote bag that’ll hold all your waterside or boat essentials.

I’m loving this look for 4th of july weekend. It’s easy and so comfortable. This USA sweatshirt is a great one to have in your closet this time of year.  I threw it over this matching athleisure set. I like the cut of the top and that it’s a little longer and the high waisted bottoms are so good. I also love using this cup for my wine! It prevents spills and also will keep any cold drink colder for longer and any hot drink hot for longer. It’s amazing.

The texture on this suit is so good. I really like the color too. I paired it with these flowy shorts as a swim cover up and sweater for the evening. Also, if you’re in the market for a visor this one is hands down my favorite. It’s a little spendy but worth it in my opinion. It has a removable cushion at your forehead that’s washable so your hat will stay clean.

Linking this same USA sweatshirt in grey! I love it with the white denim jean cutoffs. I paired it with the most comfortable sandals from lululemon. I have them and love them. This adidas hat will keep the sun out of your eyes and it looks so cute with the shorts. Also, this Yeti travel cup is a game changer for cocktails outside. I highly recommend.

For the last lake day I wanted something comfortable and versatile. This looks works with or without this pretty flowy top. I love the one shoulder striped bathing suit paired with black denim bermuda shorts. If you’re looking for a designer summer bag this Prada tote is so pretty. I’ve also found a similar version on amazon that’s budget friendly.

I like to be really comfy on travel days and athleisure is always my go to.  These joggers are so good they’re buttery soft.  I paired them with a lightweight button down, tank top and of course good sneakers. This tote is great for travel… it holds so much including a laptop.
