What is the weather like where you live? It has been so hot here this past week and feels like summer is still very much in full swing here in San Diego. By now you all know about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale which has amazing deals on Fall items that you won’t want to miss. But since many of us are still experiencing heat waves I wanted to share a few summer essentials I keep reaching for! See below for my pool-side style and some warm weather pieces I’ll be using for months ahead!
S W I M S U I T C O V E R U P
This is such a great swimsuit cover up. It also comes in red and in white and features a front button closure, spread collar and rolled sleeves. I styled it here open. It’s an effortless and timeless look that easily translates from to pool to lunch with some big sunnies and a cute pair of sandals! Runs true to size.
B A T H I N G S U I T
This one piece bathing suit is so pretty in person and the animal print is perfect. The price is really good! It has moderate coverage in the back and adjustable straps which help to get a better fit. The notched neckline is really cute and gives it a body suit look which makes it really cute with a flowy maxi or midi skirt or denim jean shorts and sandals. Also the back is a classic scoop back design. Runs a little small. I’m just shy of 5-7 wearing the size US4.
S A N D A L S
I absolutely love these Saint Laurent slide sandals! They are also available in a black color-way. I find them to be both comfortable, casual and a little dressy if styled right. These sandals are made in Italy and are the perfect neutral tone. They do run slightly small. I would recommend sizing up on these. These are a bit of an investment since they are a designer label however, they are timeless and you will be able to wear these for years to come.
V I S O R
Visors are the perfect summer essential. The best part is they don’t give you hat hair which let’s face it…that’s a big deal! Visors look cute on, come in so many style varieties and they are a nice break from sunglasses sometimes. Recently I always find myself grabbing this one from Helen Kaminski. It comes in 4 color ways with striped elastic band trim and a natural braided raffia.
