WHAT TO PACK FOR your summer vacation

With summer right around the corner and travel picking back up…I wanted to share a post with helpful tips, inspo & items on what to pack. We have a few warm weather trips coming up, that I’ll definitely share on here. A few months ago I designed, curated and shared a printable PDF packing list.  I got such good feedback that I wanted to re-share it again for anyone that might have missed it.  I actually printed it out and used it on our last couple trips and it was soooo helpful.  I hope you find it useful as well. SEE THE BOTTOM OF THE POST…for my printable packing list & lots more!

When packing for warm weather we all know the essentials…a few cute dresses, swimsuits, swim cover ups and a good pair of sandals.  I’ve recently been so impressed with some of the bathing suits I found on Amazon like this one and this one. I wear them all the time and have even re-ordered a few. Here’s another great one that can work with skirts and pants that just looks like a tank top which I love. Another tip is to wear athleisure with a comfy pair of sneakers as my travel day outfit. That way I have a hiking or workout outfit with me as well and the sneakers don’t take up room in my bag.

My favorite accessories are probably sunglasses and wide brim hats when it comes to warm weather getaways. I’m currently obsessed with this pair of Celine sunnies. If you are looking for a more budget friendly and stylish pair I also love these and they’re under $20! In case you are in the market for the perfect wide brim visor here’s one that I’ve loved since last year. It’s a little spendy but it has a little removable terry cloth cushion that can be thrown in the wash. So it can withstand more wear and tear and will last for so long.

My vacation skincare is a little different than my regular regimen. My skin is more on the dry side and flying or traveling tends to make that worse. So I love to hydrate as much as possible. I use the rich cream from Augustinus Bader and while it’s more of an investment I honestly can’t live without it. I like to mix it with my foundation too for a tinted moisturizer and also mix my serums with it at night. I love this facial mist too throughout the day and this lip mask at night.

My haircare routine is as simple as it gets on vacation. Dry Shampoo, Good conditioner, a blow dryer and round brush is all I need for the most part.  I also like my T3 curling iron, it works the best for me. If you are going somewhere dry I love this hair oil to keep my ends hydrated. Also, if you sleep with your hair up using a silk scrunchie can help reduce kinks and help your blowout last longer.

Travel essentials like a portable chargerSleeping eye mask (which is my favorite item for even at home), Small portable steamer are things I’m always grateful I remember. Another thing I like to bring is a laundry bag like this one. That way my clean clothes don’t touch my dirty clothing when I have to pack up. You can also put bathing suits in there that haven’t fully dried.
