workout style & a clearer mind

I’m very excited to share today’s post with you!

Of course I’m always so excited to share the Fashion side of these posts (it’s in my blood…lol).  But I also love sharing tips on confidence, fighting insecurities and things that have helped my state of mind.   I used to struggle a lot with anxiety, stress and worrying about almost everything!  It was starting to get in the way of my daily routine and my energy level was extremely low.   It went on for far too long and I knew I had to do something about it.  Along with seeing a therapist I started taking mental notes on possible issues.  My diet…was basically cheese quesadillas (barely any greens).  I have always heard in the past that exercise is the biggest stress reliever..but I would just say “ya- ya” and disregard it.  Plus I was chasing after 2 little kids and I felt like I was already burning enough calories to get a pink slip from “working out”.   Well, was I wrong!   I decided to make a change.  I started going going to the gym 3 days a week and would only do the elliptical for 20-30 min.   I would turn on a podcast or Pandora and rock out.  Also picked up tennis and absolutely fell in love with the sport…and the wonderful girls I play with!  (playing that once a week)   I also started to eat more greens and take my vitamins religiously.  After the third week I literally felt like a different person.  Things that stressed me out before didn’t bother me, I worried less and felt less anxious.  You know that feeling after you drink 1 glass of wine…well that’s how I felt (alcohol free) after a workout.  Chill-axed.  It’s a small change to be made…but life changing in the way you will feel.
