BANANA bread

Hi, Semra here…Aylins mom.

Once in a while, we end up with 2 or 3 overripe bananas. Making a banana bread is the best way to put them to good use.

I hope you enjoy.

Xx, Semra

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Preheat oven 350F degrees
  • Mix flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Set aside.
  • Mix sugar, eggs until creamy, add milk and oil
  • Mash three of the bananas and add into the mixture
  • Toss 1/4 cup of the flour mixture with walnuts, chocolate chips and raisins mix until they’re coated, set aside.
  • Gradually add the flour mixture into the wet mixture. Try not to over mix.
  • Add vanilla, orange zest, nut mixture and fold into the batter gently.
  • Pour into greased and parchment lined loaf pan.
  • Peel and slice the fourth banana in half lengthwise and place on top of the batter. It creates a beautiful look on top.
  • Bake 60-70 minutes or insert a knife. Should come out clean. It may take longer, depending on your oven.
  • Cool completely before sliced.

It can be frozen up to four months. If sliced and individually wrapped, make a easy grab for a snack.
