One of my favorite things to do at the beginning of each year is purge and organize. It feels soooo good to declutter, especially after the holidays. I love going through my closet and getting rid of clothing and items I haven’t worn in years. Donating to those less fortunate does so much more good than letting them collect dust in my closet. Next step is to ORGANIZE. Seeing what I have and keeping it easily accessible has helped me in so many ways. It keeps me on time, less frustrated, and prevents me from over buying things I may not need.
I wanted to share a few of the items I used to help me declutter. These bamboo boxes (pictured above) have helped me to organize my nightstand, my makeup, and loose accessories. I highly recommend these for any drawer you need to keep tidy. They elevate the space and are so easy to clean. I really find these storage bags helpful too for seasonal clothing storage. I love the window on them so you can see what’s in each bag at a glance. I also love using these to store clean bedding sets… easy to grab the bag and have everything you need. The last item I would highly recommend, especially if you are starting your closet organization is to have all matching hangers… and these felt hangers are amazing. They are slender so they take up less room and also stop your clothing from slipping off.
