Hi girls, I hope you all had an amazing weekend! Lately, I have been getting a lot of questions about skin care and what products I love. I’ve always really been into skin care & I truly believe how important it is to take good care of your skin. The better we treat our skin in our younger years the easier it will be to maintain the youthfulness as we age.
There are always new skincare products out on the market and new masks, serums, creams and treatments to try. Today I’m so excited to share my updated skincare routine that includes products I LOVE, products that have been a game changer for my skin & products I could actually never give up.
M O R N I N G R O U T I N E
S T E P O N E
In the morning I wash my face with warm water then gently pat my face dry. You can use any cleanser you like. I just recommend a mild and gentle one. Then comes the fun part! I make a cocktail of the Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum and the C-Firma Vitamin Day Serum. Girls this is a Game changer!! My skin has visibly improved after using this for about 2-3 weeks! I’m talking about clearer skin, age spots diminishing, and some have even vanished! B-Hydra is a super hydrating vitamin B5 serum that replenishes nutrients and hydration throughout the day to improve the look of skin texture and tone. The C-Firma is a super-potent vitamin C serum that’s packed with antioxidants that work to firm and brighten your skin. If I could only use one of these it would be the C-firma! But I love the extra boost in hydration when you add in the B-Hydra. They sell it in a small travel size set too called Rise + Glow Brightening Duo!

If my skin is feeling extra dry I will add one drop of the Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Antioxidant Face Oil into the Vitamin C and Serum mixture. The Marula Oil is just extremely moisturizing and feels so good on your skin. Also, this comes in 2 sizes so you can try it out first with the smaller size. I actually tried the smaller size first, then on my second round didn’t even think twice about ordering the larger size. FUN FACT…When you order a Drunk Elephant product you almost always get a mini travel size of another product to try from their line. Next step is the Bobbi Brown Extra Repair Moisturizing Balm. I’m seriously obsessed with this duo!! I’ve been using them for years & I have not been able to find an SPF moisturizer that comes close to this. This has an SPF 25. This product is a really rich balm & it leaves your skin hydrated and dewy looking. It’s amazing I promise. It also mixes really well with my foundation. I also love the Bobbi Brown Extra Eye Repair Cream. I’ve tried many creams out there and this is by far my favorite one. It’s also a great base for your concealer.

I recently started using the Drunk Elephant Lippy Balm and I am hooked! This stuff is super moisturizing and it’s the final step in my morning skin care routine. It also lasts a long time on your lips which is awesome! If you want a little more shine I love to top my lip balms with Laneige Lip Glowy Balm. This gloss helps lock in the moisture and it comes in four different flavors and Hues.

If there’s one thing I never, EVER skip it’s my night time routine. There are so many nights that I actually accidentally fall asleep reading my kids a book or watching TV. I will wake up and wash my face even if it’s 2 or 3 AM…lol. Falling asleep in your makeup is one of the worst things you can do to your skin and the fastest way to age it. If you get too tired at night try to wash your face as soon as you get home and then get in cozy clothes. Make it a routine and it becomes easier, and easier the more you do it…I promise!

I recently started using the Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm from pharmacy and I am hooked. There’s something I love about being able to take off my make up without putting cold water on my face right away or having to wait to heat up the water. These things make a difference…lol. So while I’m waiting to heat up the sink water I take the Meltaway Makeup Cleansing Balm and I apply it to my dry skin. I can feel it melting all the makeup and impurities away…it’s kind of crazy. After you massage it in (which feel so nice btw) I either rinse it with warm water or I get a damp washcloth and I gently wipe away the rest of the product.

Next up… T.L.C. Framboos Glycolic Resurfacing Night Serum. This has 12% AHA which helps refine and resurface your skin and eventually makes it smoother. The best part of this product is it actually helps enhance all other products by helping your skin absorb them better. You can actually feel it working which I love. I’ve been using this product for the past four months and I can really see a difference in my skin tone. Aside from coming in 2 sizes, Sephora also sells this in a kit that comes with two of my other faves the A-Passioni Retinol Cream and Protini™ Polypeptide Cream! So good! It’s called the Get Even set.

Next is Lala Retro™ Whipped Moisturizer with Ceramides by Drunk Elephant . This cream is on the thicker side and I love how moisturizing it is. I take one dollop of the cream and I add in three drops of the Drunk Elephant Marula oil and rub it in. I basically like to look like a glazed doughnut before I go to bed… LOL! This Moisturizer is good for all skin types and helps with dryness, fine lines, wrinkles, dullness and uneven texture. All of those issues fixed with one cream. It doesn’t get better than that!

This one is completely optional but another product I use regularly and really love is the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask. This mask is good for a hydration boost and dullness and can be used by all skin types. I actually use it as an overnight mask and will have this be the final step of my nighttime routine and sleep on it and wash it off in the morning. I don’t do this every night though. Just when my skin needs a little extra love and Hydration. I love taking this with me when I travel and it comes in a mini size!
For lips at night I use the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask. I even got an extra travel mini size to keep on my nightstand for any nights that I forgot to put it on in my bathroom! I use the original but recently they came out with a Vanilla and an Apple Lime version. I’ll have to try those next.
SKINCARE TIP: apply any extra creams, serums, oils left on hands to your neck, chest & back of hands. As my mom always taught me: moisturize, moisturize, moisturize.
