Rock that T-shirt

_MG_3033_MG_3020_MG_3030_MG_3022Sweet…we got a sitter!  It’s been a long while since the Mr. and I got out.  It’s always fun to have an occasion to get dressed up for.  Especially after this long crazy week.  My poor little girl has been sick with a high fever.  In the meantime I had to take care of my mom after her surgery.  Then unexpectedly had to rush her to the ER after a complication.  That was a frightening experience.  Thankfully everyone’s on the mend and getting healthy again.  It’s crazy how those scary moments put everything in perspective.  Health is so important.  And it makes you realize that sweating the small stuff in life is a BIG waste of time.
Now onto the other stuff.  I love styling T-shirts.  They’re comfortable, versatile, and I love the juxtaposition of dressy to causal.   Wether you own a boxy, fitted, cropped or baggy T-shirt I guarantee you can rock it for your next Date night with my Tips!
3 tips to rocking a T-shirt for Date night!
1. If you’re going to keep your jewelry to a minimum try pairing your T-shirt with a dressy bottom.  Example: Slacks, pencil skirt, dressy shorts…etc.  Pretty much any bottoms that have a dressier fabric. I wore a boxy cropped T-shirt and paired it with a fun, high-waisted, bright patterned pencil skirt.
2. If you’re going to wear statement jewelry you can pretty much get away with any bottoms.  Example:  if you’re wearing your T-shirt with a statement necklace and high heels you can pair that with even blue jeans.  I added a fun Anthropologie statement necklace.
3. Accessories matter!  Tie your look together with the right shoes and handbag.  I tied in the grey tones of my statement necklace with these grey heels.  My white bracelet and cocktail ring tie in with this forever 21 clutch.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog!  I’m so excited to help give your wardrobe more styling versatility!!  xoxo
