STAYING ACTIVE IN THE NEW YEAR

One thing I always tend to put on the back burner during the Holidays is working out.  I have to be honest and always regret letting that part of my routine go.  I find myself feeling more tired, a little blue-ish…and I tend to notice I’m more anxious, even about little things.  Just being aware that those are the side effects for me not working out should be enough to get me back in the gym!  Now that the holidays and crazy schedules are over I’m ready to get back!  I’m very proud to report I’ve been working out the past week every day.  And even thought it’s only been a week…I can feel a difference.  This is how I would describe the feeling I get after a workout:   You know when you have that glass of wine, and you feel all relaxed and easy-going.  Well that is the same feeling I get after a good workout-minus the alcohol.  It’s like a drink-free buzz, lol.

My WORKOUT routine

5 min stretch — 30 min elliptical — 10 min arm weights & leg-butt lifts — 5 min stretch

So working out is very important…but it also helps to have cute workout clothes.  Today I excited to share this cute workout outfit that I found at Walmart.com.   I also found this super cute dark grey active jacket that is perfect for running errands after the gym or just staying warm in general. I love that it’s slightly longer in the back so that it pairs great with leggings, especially if you are like me and like to cover your bum in them. This jacket is also great because it has a hood, good size pockets and thumb holes. I can tell that this jacket is good quality not only by the feel but also because the zipper is very well made you can tell it is sturdy and easy to zip up or down. FYI this jacket is under $40! Next, I want to talk about this super cute pair of forest green active leggings!  Not only do I LOVE this color but they feel so soft and fit comfortably. FYI these leggings are under $40!  I brought the whole outfit together with a simple black pair of athletic shoes (linked similar here).

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today!

xx,

P.s. A big thank you to Walmart for partnering on this post! Everything I share, as always, are my own thoughts and opinions
