WINTER WONDERLAND AT THE FAIRMONT GRAND DEL MAR

I am so excited to share this holiday gem with you all. For anyone that lives here locally in San Diego or if you happen to be visiting during the holidays you must visit The Fairmont Grand Del Mar.  This is the second year that they have created a literal Winter Wonderland for locals, resort guests and the general public and I am so glad we were able to visit this year.

It was so much fun and such a special day to spend with the family and create special memories together. Our family loves coming to the Fairmont Grand they have so many wonderful amenities that we love to take part of in the winter and in the summer. See my full blog on The Fairmont Grand Del Mar Hotel here and a closer look at my spa experience here!

The Fairmont doesn’t hold anything back this time of year when it comes to entertaining its guests and visitors. They have a Ferris wheel, a carousel, a Santa that does pictures right next to a 25 ft beautiful Christmas Tree. The best part is that there is an ice skating rink that is over 5,000 sq ft so there is plenty of room for all to enjoy. Also, on certain dates they do ice shows and they have characters like princesses, the Grinch and Buddy the Elf. They also  have Christmas Carolers which is fun for the whole family.

Winter Wonderland runs through January 1, 2020. It is open everyday during the week from 3pm to 8pm and on Friday through Sunday from 1pm until 9pm. Also, on Friday they have live music which is really fun. My favorite part is that they have private fire-pit tables right next to the ice skating rink where you can enjoy champagne, S’mores for roasting and hot coco!

We rented a really cute table with a fire-pit so we could roast marshmallows while we skated. It was the best! You get it for two hours at a time and they are popular so make sure to reserve yours in advance. During Winter Wonderland they offer fun festive foods like wood-fire pizzas, chili, chicken pot pie as well as hot dogs, cotton candy and popcorn.

They also have Moët & Chandon champagne garden and festive refreshments like hot chocolate with the cutest little chocolate melting bears.  Also, the Amaya is one of my favorite restaurants and we always make sure to go there when we stay at the Grand. Their food is so delicious and plated so beautifully. They off a full menu apart of what is offered at the winter wonderland.

The lobby of the hotel is filled with holiday decor and it smells just like Christmas right when you walk in…so good! The first thing you see when you walk in is a huge, stunning Christmas tree and also a giant gingerbread house that is fully furnished. The kids loved looking at all of the details. The rooms at the Fairmont are so beautiful with rich interiors and with all the amenities one would wish for.

See the blog I did on the hotel in detail here.

Pajamas, a movie and a cup of decaf Nespresso was the perfect ending to our fun family day. Staying at The Fairmont Grand Del Mar is such a treat. They really make you feel at home when you visit. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. The food is amazing, the grounds are beautiful, there is absolutely nothing bad to say at all. If you are looking for somewhere to stay or visit while in San Diego I highly recommend visiting the Fairmont Grand Del Mar.

For everyone asking about my outfit from the Winter Wonderland I’m linking it here for you…

Have a wonderful and safe week and weekend with your friends and loved ones! If you live locally or are in need of a vacation check out the Winter Wonderland Christmas week at The Fairmont. It is such a fun way to celebrate the season!!

xx,

P.s. A big thank you to The Fairmont Grand Del Mar for their hospitality! Everything I share, as always, are my own thoughts and opinions.
