GLOWING FALL MAKEUP ROUTINE

Today I’m so excited to share my updated fall make up routine and how to achieve a healthy glow!  I’ll be sharing some products that I’ve been using the past couple months along with other products I’ve been using for years and years. I don’t know about you but I always tend to feel healthier when I have a little bit of glow and color on my skin. I don’t believe that self Tanners and bronzers are only supposed to be used in the summer and warmer months. With that said I will also be sharing my skin prep routine and how to create a healthy glowing canvas that is ready for make up.  All of these products are available at Nordstrom.com…which is 100% my personal favorite place to buy my beauty products.  I love all the options they carry and reading all the reviews!  Plus the free shipping is always a bonus!

fyi: I’m sharing a video tutorial on my instagram stories…if you have time to pop over there and watch it I’m sharing a lot of these products in action.

SKIN PREP

Start with a good exfoliating scrub. Gently scrub and exfoliate your skin and make sure to pat dry. After use a toner to make sure everything is all taken off and clean to the touch.

Self tan the face: Again this is something I like to do year round. For best application use a kabuki brush and a foaming self tanner.  I’m not a big fan of the self tanning lotions or gels.  The foaming one works best I found for face. I learned about applying self tanner with a kabuki brush from Meggan and Brooke from Somewhere lately…thanks girls!  For best results do this step at night before bed so when you wake up in the morning the color has developed and you are ready to apply your make up.

I love the unisex healthy glow and brightening youth glow by Charlotte Tilbury. The unisex healthy glow comes out like a white lotion and then when you put it on your face it’s slowly starts to develop into a warm color. This is what I like to use as the base.  After I apply the Charlotte Tilbury brightening youth glow, it works very well as a primer before foundation.

OK this trio right here is a GAME CHANGER. I like to call it the FAB TRIO!! We recently went on a trip and I forgot my foundation and my foundation brush (eeeeek) and nothing that I could find was close to replacing it.  I make my own tinted moisturizer by adding a drop of the lotion and the foundation in the palm of my hand.  Then I dip the large end of the brush and apply with circular sweeping motions…you’ll be amazed at the coverage that this brush gives you. It’s not cakey or too heavy. It’s up to you how much coverage you want by adding more lotion or more foundation.   This trio right here will definitely give you glowing skin!!

I’ve recently been having so much fun trying out different eyeshadow palette‘s and eyeshadow colors. There are two new pallets that I’ve recently purchased that I will use until the very last drop. The one that I’m wearing here is the Charlotte Tilbury eyeshadow palette which comes with four gorgeous shades. I also love the one by Mac (here). This has a few more options and they’re also in the earth tone family.  Just in case you missed it I’m sharing a tutorial on my insta-stories on how I apply this.

BTW:  I really love these brushes by Trish Mc Evoy and also these brushes by MAC

This next product I’m about to share with you has been a favorite for over 10 years. It’s by Nars and it’s their Laguna bronzer.   I absolutely love this shade…it gives you that I just got back from Hawaii glow. I like to sweep this on my cheekbones, a little sweep on the nose bridge, the forehead, chin and then I always sweep some on my décolleté.

I love a good neutral lip gloss.  This is a new product that I’ve been testing out the last few weeks.  It’s by Dior and it’s their lip maximizer and it has collagen active in it. I Purchased it in these two shades (apricot and beige sunrise) and they are both more in the neutral category.  But if I had to pick one it would be 006 Beige Sunrise.

It has a hint of a mint and it does have a little tingle to it which helps with the plumping.

For those rough mornings when I have dark circles under my eyes and I just want a more refreshed & awake look… I always go to my YSL!!. This product is amazing.  The consistency is so good, it’s creamy, it’s lightweight, & it never looks cakey. One of my pet peeve‘s with any type of concealer is when they actually end up aging you vs. making you look younger.  I also love this product by Bobbi Brown, it’s called their corrector and I use it for those really dark, blue-ish veins on the inside corners of my eyes. It’s a game changer! (I use the color “Light Peach”).   Both of these products favorite that I’ve used for years and years.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today. I hope this information was helpful for you. I love sharing all of my beauty finds!
