If there’s one thing I love just as much as fashion it would have to be skin care. This is something I started taking serious at a pretty young age but to be honest have really kicked it into high gear the past 5 years. We all want to look as young as we can for as long as we can right? And let’s face it (no pun, lol) our best defense is to prevent the damage. But that isn’t always possible and, some times we don’t think about it until we notice the dullness or wrinkles. (I’m guilty). Between sun damage in our 20’s to all the pollutants in the air now, we have our work cut out for us. But don’t worry…I found something I truly love that’s a secret weapon.
My mom has always taught me to “moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!”. One of the keys to fighting premature aging like dull and dry skin and the dreaded wrinkles around our eyes is a great moisturizer. When it comes to moisturizing I have always tried to be good at it because in my opinion it is the key to a more plump youthful glow. I don’t know about you but when I was younger I would spend so much money accumulatively on so many products. I was always in search of that magic “one” or combination that did everything instead of just investing in one really amazing scientifically proven product. If only I knew then what I know now…
I recently started using this AMAZING product from Augustinus Bader who is a Professor from Leipzig University and is one of the world’s leading stem cell and biomedical scientists. It is great for normal to dry skin types and is the one I prefer. They recommend this for night time use because it is so thick and hydrating. But if you are in a dry climate or just have really dry skin it may work for you even in the daytime. I mix mine with my liquid foundation for a dewy glow!
I honestly feel that this is not only deeply moisturizing but that it creates a barrier to really lock it in which I can’t say about any other moisturizer that I have tried. Some of its ingredients include argan, avocado and evening primrose oil, rich in omega 6 fatty acids and anti-oxidants, which help to protect skin from free-radicals.
